Professor Sattar Bawany also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Disruptive Leadership Institute LLC (DLI) and the Centre for Executive Education (CEE). EDA is the Strategic Partner of DLI and CEE in offering the suite of Executive Development Solutions in the Asia Pacific region. He has over 35 years of international business management experience, including 25 years in executive coaching, group facilitation, leadership development, and c-suite training with global management and human resource consulting firms.

In addition to his business and consulting career, Prof. Bawany has over 20 years of concurrent academic experience as an Adjunct Professor teaching senior executives international business strategies and human resource courses at various leading universities. He is currently the Professor of Practice at the PPA IPE Business School – Paris and an Adjunct Professor of Management at Asia e University (AeU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prof. Bawany is an Expert on Disruptive & Crisis Leadership as well as Leadership Transitions where he coaches the newly appointed CEO or c-suite leader (either being promoted from within or being hired externally) for their new role and assimilates them into the organization’s corporate strategy and culture to accelerate productivity.

He has coached a range of leaders, from CEOs to senior vice presidents, and high potential managers who are impacted by the disruption at the workplace and business by developing their ‘disruptive leadership’ competencies to enable personal transformation and leadership effectiveness. Prof Sattar Bawany is a prominent author and leadership expert who has written extensively on managing leadership challenges in crisis and disruptive business environments. His latest book,  “The Making of a C.R.I.S.I.S. Leader” was released globally on March 7 March 2025. The book provides leaders with tools to navigate crises effectively and turn challenges into opportunities. It introduces the “C.R.I.S.I.S.” Leadership Model, which highlights essential skills for resilience and strategic decision-making during turbulent times. Prof Bawany’s earlier book,  “Leadership in Disruptive Times: Negotiating the New Balance” (2023) was published in May 2023. His book, “Transforming NextGen Leaders: Meeting the Leadership Challenges in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)” was published in July 2019. All the books were published by Business Expert Press (BEP) LLC.

The CEO Weekly magazine in its October 2, 2023 Edition, named Prof Sattar Bawany alongside Dr Marshall Goldsmith and Tony Robbins as the top 15 exceptional executive coaches who have had a major influence in the field of leadership development and coaching. He was recognized as one of the “Top 10 Best CEOs in Singapore” by CEO Insights Asia magazine in 2023.
